Site Utilities and Soil Stabilization Project
LOCATION: Northeast, MD
DURATION: 1 Year (In Progress)
SITE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Demolition and New Infrastructure
The project consists of demolition of the existing 128,000 square foot building foundation and all existing utilities. Upon completion of the demolition the installation of new site infrastructure to include water, fire service loop, sewer and storm drainage installation began. While site utilities are under way, the installation of a new 500,000 square foot building pad with accompanying truck loading docks, heavy duty paved drive lanes and vehicular access commenced.
This is a large earth moving project with over 200,000 cubic yards of cut and fill to be completed. Due to low strength onsite soil conditions, a significant amount of soil cement earth modification has been undertaken. Upon completion of the major site improvements and stabilization of the site, an extensive array of micro bio retention ponds will be installed to mitigate storm water runoff.
