Bridge Reconstruction
Eaglehead Drive Bridge closed in the early 1970s when floods left the road crumbled and inoperable. This scenic roadway was once another road off MD 144 that ran toward the area’s west side, Meadow and Quinn Roads. The project started with demo, mobilization, and site preparation phase. There was debris, existing concrete, stone, pipe, and paving that need to be hauled away. Given the project’s proximity to the water and damn, we had to be diligent in our earthwork and grading making sure we did not disrupt the stream and wildlife. Storm drains were installed, and the site is currently awaiting asphalt paving.
In addition to restoring the bridge, CJM is currently working on rough grading and installing drainage ditches on the Quinn Road extension.
